“Food Is Medicine”
As a formerly trained professional chef and food product developer, I have had the opportunity to truly hone my skills around the kitchen.
Adding in my functional nutrition coaching background has taken that knowledge to a whole new level.
Not only do I understand what ingredients go together well in terms of color, flavor, texture and aroma to make a dish or product taste amazing, but also why using the right ingredient combinations are so important for our health.
By now, I’m hoping you can tell that I’m REALLY passionate about what I do and that I want to help share my knowledge with you so that you can feel the best you possibly can.
As noted prior, choosing the right foods is so important to your health and well being.
I practice the “Food Is Medicine” approach by providing you with the right nutrition that your body really needs to promote your optimal functional health vs poor dysfunctional health.
When you eat, it’s not just to fill the hunger pangs in your stomach.
It’s so much more.
The foods that you eat are broken down into macronutrients (protein, fats, carbs, fiber and water).
Which in turn are broken down into vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients & phytochemicals.
It’s food in this form that drives all the necessary chemical processes in your body that keep you functioning at your best.
So choosing the right foods truly is one of the most important things that you can do for your health, as when you choose the wrong foods, you will know it and you feel terrible with gut issues, muscle pain, poor sleep, etc.
In my 3 month master program, I’ll teach you my proven Mediterranean based anti-inflammatory based eating strategy that focuses on just that.
Here’s some delicious foods that my program will include which will ultimately help reduce or prevent cellular inflammation, which will optimize your health:
- Fatty Fish – High in omega 3’s EPA & DHA
- Avocado – High in glutathione, the body’s master antioxidant
- Coconut – High in medium chain triglycerides
- Olives & Olive Oil – High in polyphenols & monounsaturated fat
- Turmeric – High in polyphenols via curcumin
- Leafy Greens – High in vitamins A, D, E, K & folic acid
- Cruciferous Vegetables – High in sulforaphane & glucosinolates
When you implement my program, you will be able to help reduce and/or prevent chronic inflammation from occurring in the first place.
With a really solid nutritional foundation in place, you will hopefully not have to worry about all those horrible conditions that could occur otherwise.
You can do it and we can do it together.
