🍞 Here’s one of my personal favorite recipes for a hearty, healthy, & versatile grain-free bread that is:
- Vegan (leave the bee pollen out)
- Paleo
- Keto (leave the maple syrup out)
- Gluten-free
- Dairy-free
It’s super easy to make too.
Just measure out the ingredients, blend them together, bake, cool & eat
Full of healthy fats, protein, fiber, calcium & iron, this bread is chock full of goodness.
Recipe:
- ½ cup raw sunflower seeds, toasted
- ¼ cup sliced almonds, toasted
- ½ cup raw pumpkin seeds, toasted
- 1 cup almond flour
- ¾ cup hemp hearts
- ¼ cup sesame seeds
- ½ cup golden flax seeds
- ½ cup whole psyllium husk
- ⅓ cup chia seeds
- 1 tbsp bee pollen (optional)
- 1 tsp dried rosemary
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- 1 ½ cups hot water
- ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup (optional)
Directions:
Pre-heat oven to 350 dF
1). Measure out all the ingredients & add to a bowl, except for the water, maple syrup & olive oil
2). Dry blend all the ingredients
3). Mix the water, maple syrup & olive oil together
4). Add to the dry ingredients
5). Blend everything together
6). Place into a 3.5″ x 11.5″ loaf pan (I use a terrine mold) lined with greased parchment paper
7). Bake on the center rack at 350 dF for 45 minutes
8). Remove loaf from pan.
9). Invert the pan onto a baking rack atop a baking sheet
10). Bake another 20 minutes to let fully brown & allow a crust to form
11). Remove from oven & let cool before slicing
Topping ideas:
- Coconut yogurt, peaches, cardamom & extra virgin olive oil
- Creme fraiche, smoked salmon & fresh chives
- Grass-fed butter, prosciutto & rosemary
