We all struggle with some life stress issues due to work, family, friends, finances, news, etc….
Stress if left unmanaged, can lead to many negative health issues & our goal is always to look for ways of preventing this from happening in the 1st place.
Here’s my top five tips on how to manage stress:
1). Breathing:
Diaphragmatic, box, 4-7-8 & alternate nostril
Go onto YouTube & check out videos for how to do these.
Very simple to do, but super powerful in terms of reducing stress & helping you fall asleep.
2). Meditate:
Start of with as little as 2 minutes a day & work your way up to 20 minutes a day targeting 1-2 times per day.
Try out the Brain FM, Calm or Headspace apps
3). Spend Time In Nature:
Be sure to disconnect from your phone when you do this & just enjoy what your senses show you. You will be amazed with how much this will relax you.
4). Exercise:
Target at least 30-50 minutes of any type of exercise 3-5 times per week. Be sure to allow for recovery time in between as too much exercise is a stressor in itself.
5). Laughter:
Try not to take life so seriously & be sure to laugh daily, especially with friends, family & community.
My program offers a detailed section on stress release & I would really like to teach these to you.
